Mayu Kishima
1991-93
Mayu wins the "Gold Prize" three years in a row at the national children's violin competition held in Kyoto, Japan.

1994
Mayu performs at a lecture/concert given by Midori Goto.

1996
Mayu performs at the 4th Annual Kojima Mujika Koregia.

1996-97
Mayu performs at a lecture/concert given by Isaac Stern at the Miyazaki International Chamber Music Festival.

1998
Mayu wins first prize at the 52nd annual All Japan Student Music Competiton in Osaka, Japan.

1997-98
Mayu wins the Kobe Mayor Prize in Kobe, Japan.

1999
Mayu wins the Kyoto Mayor's Prize in Kyoto, Japan.
Mayu wins the Ishikawa Music Academy prize in Ishikawa, Japan.
Mayu wins best prize at the Japan Classical Music Competition.
Mayu performs with the Takarazuka Symphony Orchestras in Takarazuka, Japan.
Mayu performs at the 25th Annual Izmir Symphony Orchestra in Izmir, Turkey.

1999-2001
Mayu participates in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Annual Violin Seminar held by Professor Zakhar Bron.

2000
Mayu performs in a concert given by Professor Bron and his students.
Mayu performs in Michigan State and at Carnegie Hall in New York City as a soloist with the Gunma Junior Orchestra.
Mayu wins best prize at the 8th Wieniawski International violin competition for juniors in Russia. She is the youngest Japanese violinist to receive this prize.

2001
Mayu wins the Kobe Matsukata Hall Music Prize, in Kobe, Japan.
Mayu wins the New Artist Prize at the 11th Annual Asahi Broadcasting Company Concert.
In February, Mayu has her first recital as Evolution at the Phoenix Hall in Osaka, Japan.
In July, Mayu has her second recital at the Vega Hall in Takarazuka, Japan. She also has a concert with the New York Symphonic Ensemble in Osaka, Japan.
In September, she has her the third recital at Sera Museum in Japan.

2002
Mayu is currently living in Germany studying the violin under Professor Bron while attending the Korn School of Music.

NEWS FLASH!
Mayu has been chosen as the 2002 Overseas Trainee Artist by the Japanese government's Agency for Cultual Affairs.
